Nowadays, technology plays a very important role in classrooms. Computers and tablets are given to students for use in the classroom and the Internet has become a part of a student’s everyday life.
SKY aims to help teachers and students in the education process. SKY is an all-in-one artificial intelligence robot that will help teacher’s simplify the teaching process and assist students when teachers are busy or absent. Although SKY has similar software to a smartphone, it is an interactive robot that can act as a projector that is catered to a teacher’s specific method of teaching.
Benefits and potential uses of SKY include (but are not limited to):
- Helping students learn difficult material that they might not understand
- Answering questions when a teacher is busy helping another student, so that no student is ignored or left behind
- Providing interactive and educational games to enforce material
- Displaying educational lessons, when the teacher is absent
- teachers can record lessons ahead of time, so when they are absent, SKY will be able to display the videos
